The course helps agencies prepare an emergency plan that addresses a potential pandemic outbreak.
Objectives:
Learning Outcomes: • Define the three conditions of a pandemic outbreak. • Clarify how an agency should manage the work environment during an outbreak. • Prepare a plan and write the details of it. • Communicate the plan to the agency’s employees. • Describe how to overcome work interruptions. • Determine that the PHA has adequate back-up suppliers and vendors in case of a pandemic.

Jennifer Chandler Hauge is the Senior Counsel and Director of Special Projects for the Nonprofit Risk Management. Her primary focus is on corporate governance, employment law, fundraising regulations, risk assessments, and business restructuring. Ms. Hauge has more than 17 years' experience delivering technical assistance to tax-exempt organizations, which includes being a senior manager for statewide nonprofits during their start-up years. In addition, she co-authored, "Taking the High Road: A Guide to Effective and Legal Employment Practices for Nonprofits." Ms. Hauge received her undergraduate degree in French and English with Distinction from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and her Juris Doctor degree from Boston College in Newton, Massachusetts. She is a member of the New York and New Jersey bars.
